Back in Tahoe Spring has Sprung

Since the trip its been pretty slow around town
leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the great outdoors.

We ventured to the top of Horsetail Falls where the snow was still plenty

Explored Fallen Leaf Lake in our own backyard

And enjoyed each others company at the top of Cave Rock

For some spectacular sunsets

even enjoyed the moonrise.

Oregon

We ended our winter with our annual trip to Oregon.
We spent a couple days camping on the coast...

met up with some old friends in the City...

and rode a few last days at Mt. Hood.

Always a good time.

As much as we live for these snowy peaks it is hard to complain about winter being over because every season in Tahoe is beautiful and (except fall) offers new adventures to be had.

Oh the times, they are a changin.

As you can imagine, winter flew by way too fast as it always does in these mountains.

Just when everyone is feeling confident on their skis and progression is at its height, Mother Nature decides that it should be beautifully sunny and warm and soon after, the snow is gone.

2009

I for one and welcoming in 2009 with a big grin on my face. Though I am fortunate enough to be in good health, have a supportive and loving family, an amazing boyfriend and a handful of loyal friends I couldn't live without - there were many things about 2008 that I am happy to put behind me. The past year was full of many trials and tests of strength and character. I feel that while in the end I have prevailed over most of them, there were definitely a few times when I completely lost direction and questioned my faith that everything would eventually work out.

Thank you to all of the people who have had to endure my struggles with me, you are the reason I did not give up on people, places and things in my life. May this year bring everyone above all happiness and love.
